You aren’t officially enrolled until you make your enrollment deposit. Follow the instructions below to make your deposit and guarantee your spot at UNC Asheville.
How to Pay Your Enrollment Deposit Online
Look for the Financial Aid and Payments folder on the left, and click on ePayment. Once in ePayment, click on the Deposits tab at the top of the page. Select the term you are making a deposit for (fall or spring only).
Select the deposit payment type you wish to make from the drop-down menu. You have the option to make a credit card payment (CC) or an electronic check payment (ACH). See the About Payment Methods section below for details on each payment method.
- To pay your $300 enrollment deposit by credit card, select CC Enrollment Deposit.
- To pay your $300 enrollment deposit by electronic check, select ACH Enrollment Deposit.
Note: All freshmen are required to live on campus their first year.
All new freshmen are required to live on campus during their first year of enrollment, regardless of their parents’ or guardians’ place of residence. Waivers for this requirement are granted only for exceptional circumstances. Students who feel that their circumstances require such a waiver should submit a written letter of petition with appropriate documentation by May 1, to:

For first-year students who have received a housing deposit waiver, or for transfer students not living on campus:
- To pay a $150 tuition deposit with an electronic check (ACH), select the term and then select ACH Tuition Deposit ONLY. To make a credit card payment, click Make a Payment, Amount Due, and $150.
For first-year students who have received a tuition deposit waiver:
- To pay a $150 housing deposit with an electronic check (ACH), select the term and then select ACH Housing Deposit ONLY. To make a credit card payment, click Make a Payment, Amount Due, and $150.
About Online Payment Methods
Credit Card Payments
Click on CC Enrollment Deposit, then Select, then Continue. For Method, select Credit Card via Paypath and Continue. Then click on Continue to PayPath. This will open the credit card payment window in PayPath.
PayPath will display the student ID and term for the payment. Select Continue. It will then display the deposit amount of $300. Select Continue. This will bring up the screen where you can enter your credit card information. Please complete the fields on this screen with special attention to the required fields.
There is a transaction fee of 2.85% for credit card payments.
Electronic Check (ACH) Payments
Select the ACH payment you want to make, then Make Deposit Payment. Then select Electronic Check (checking/savings) and Continue. This will bring up the screen where you can enter your banking information to make your payment. Please complete this form with special attention to the required fields.
You will be required to enter the following information: the Account Type, ABA Routing Number, Account Number, Confirm Account Number and Name On Account. You will have the option to save the payment method for future use and Save Payment Method As (a name for this payment method).
Be sure to verify your routing and account numbers! See the example provided in ePayment.
Note: Online checking/savings payments can only be made from U.S. bank accounts. Payments from international accounts need to be made via credit card.
